A company set up to provide Inspection Solutions services to the industry viz: Assets integrity management solutions, Heat Treatment Solutions, Maintenance Repairs solutions and Inspection Solutions; requires the services of a Technical Manager.


NATURE OF THE JOB
The Technical Manager with the compliment of a foreign Technical Partner will run the Inspection Solution services of the company. The job holder will be involved in managing the technical, financial and business development affairs of the company dealing with Oil & Gas and Industrial clients, providing a range of testing, NDT and certification services.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage field service engineers, project managers and operational teams.
• Manage projects including the ability to manage multiple priorities while retaining high professional and ethical standards
• Report writing and Certification of personnel
• Identify and target business opportunities
• Maintains close interaction with third-party suppliers and clients
• Receives and analyses scope and specifications for works and services to be contracted, clarifies work aspects and verifies technical evaluation criteria.
• Recruitment of local personnel for operations
• Proposes contract type and prepares tender document
• Responsible for technical performance, schedule, budget, coordination of proposal responses, and support to business development.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary filed services team
• Plan, implement, monitor & control the business activities with current budget & plan.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Degree in a relevant engineering subject
• 5+ Years of Operations managerial experience
• 10 years’ experience in inspection and certification
• 5+ years of experience with Non- Destructive Testing
• Previous experience in operations within relevant markets is key, ideally with already established relationships.
• Oil & Gas upstream experience & Pipeline inspection experience an added advantage.
• Have NDT Lv. II or III certification preferred
• Experience in Phase Array technology
• Knowledge of industrial codes and standards
• Knowledge of PWHT (anadvantage)
• Experience of Asset Integrity Management solution ( an advantage)
• A track record of delivering business growth
• Business management experience

• Good financial understanding (P&L, Balance sheet, tax etc.)
• Good commercial knowledge within the O&G sector
• Good QHSE understanding (procedure writing, reporting etc.)
• Experience in preparing technical & commercial tenders
