I wonder why globacom boss like making things very difficult and complex for his employees or the job applicants who intend to work for his firm. Even after passing all the stages as an applicant, you are expected to have another interview with the boss which is most difficult. Even your style of walking, greeting or conversation with other applicants can disqualify you at this juncture.

Yes, they can as all workers are ‘at will employee’ by default in Nigeria.

But, it is against the law to base employment, promotion and sack on gender. Don’t get me wrong, many companies do it, but it is usually covert.

But, when a company sacks 90 of their staff and 100% of them are female, the sack is overtly gender based and motivated and it is illegal. There are many covert ways to achieve the same goal.

Most Nigerians have a second line. It's time to use it.
Don't make or receive any calls from a glo number. Don't use Glo data. Don't send texts with Glo.

If only 500, 000 cooperate, Glo will lose more revenue in 2 days than they would have paid those women in 20 years.

A civil society group under the aegis of the Coalition of Women For Justice today March 19th protested against Globacom over the alleged sack of over 90 married women staff.

According to the group, It's outright injustice to just sack about 100 married women without recourse to their rights and welfare.

"Working mothers are partners in economic development, Do not discriminate against them", placards carried by the protesters reads.

Recall that Lasgidi Online earlier reported that Globacom's Chairman, Mike Adenuga laid off over 90 of the married women saying he don't want them at Globacom (Gloworld friendship centre).

Nigerians are the most gullible people in the world. The sack wasn't targeted at married women before these feminists start coming to shout woman discrimination. Those sacked were not even staff of Globacom. They were from an outsourcing company that supplies Globacom with contract personnel and it wasn't all married women like the news says. angry
