Driver = Chauffeur. The difference is packaging. In the way OP thinks they are different, A driver may not open door for you but a Chauffeur does. I can just convert my driver by sewing fancy suit, cap etc. and tell him to always open my door when I want to alight from my car.

The difference between a chauffeur and a driver is the same difference between Plantain chips and Ipekere. Na packaging.
