AKERMAS ENERGY LIMITED IS RECRUITING INSPECTION PERSONNEL ON NDT INSPECTION FOR OFFSHORE PIPPING


 Contract Position
 Duration: 2 Years

JOB SUMMARY
 Has experience in offshore oil / gas, hydrocarbon industries and is recognized as a specialist in a specific engineering field on large projects.
 Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
 Resolve specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
 Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
 Tasks include Piping Stress Analysis, support design, special support design, spring support design and assist in design of expansion joints.
 Individual responsibilities will be commensurate with capabilities and experience level.
 Work within project team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Has an understanding of the project scope of work, budget, and schedule, particularly as it applies to Piping Engineering and Design.
 Responsible for safe, technically accurate and cost effective piping system designs and deliverables for installations and oil & gas production facilities offshore.
 Responsible for compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
 Perform Piping Stress Analysis, assuring compliance with all applicable codes pertaining to piping systems and strain sensitive equipment.
 Ensure coordination with other in-house discipline departments.
 Assist in performing wall thickness and branch reinforcing calculations.
 Perform review of relevant vendor information.
 Provide a timely internal check of drawings produced by other MHDP disciplines.
 Incorporate MHDP procedures and standards into design as applicable


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
 5 years Piping Engineering or related industry experience
 Corporate Member of a recognized Mechanical chartered professional body, working towards achieving such status.
 BSc Engineering Degree
 Visits to offshore facilities for surveys.
 Lifting and carrying offshore.
 Inspection trips
 Leadership experience or proven leadership skills.
 Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc.).
 Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word and Excel) and Mustang purchased and in house created software such as Caesar II. Should also be familiar with editing, opening and reading drawings in Microstation and working with SP3D 3D CAD system on projects. Should be familiar with responding to e-Mails & doing all necessary actions as required
