Iceland has announced it will be boycotting the World Cup this summer. It comes after the US and EU countries announced the expulsion of diplomats over the Sergei Skripal poisoning case. https://www.rt.com/sport/422397-iceland-boycott-fifa-russia/ Iceland is one of our opponents at the group stages of the world cup Good news to Nigeria, one down, five to go to world cup glory 1 Like |

Russia may have eaten more than it can chew. Putin has given the United States the perfect excuse to rally the whole of Europe against them. |

Not in support of what happened but all those pretending to be right now have been guilty at different times America even does worse. Its FIFA position we should be more concerned about. These countries are bringing external politics to football. Football should not be used in any guise to score political points but continue to be a bridge builder like the world cup. 2 Likes |

NightHawke:What u said is church. U.S is the only country to ever use Atom bomb. See as them dey form saviour of the world. The had the highest emission for over a century. All the bombs showered at vietnam are still exploding till date. As for iceland am sure their prime minister must be a woman. Otherwise why would he or she bring emotional politics into sports. So those lads will be denied world cup glory because of ego? 1 Like |
