JOB SUMMARY
The NDT II Technician is responsible for performing Non Destructive Testing and evaluation of adhesive bonded assemblies and components utilizing ultrasonic and possibly radiography. The technician evaluates inspection data, interprets Inspection findings/results, and records inspection results on approved documents. This position works under general supervision of a NDT Technician Level III. NDT personnel must possess and maintain certification(s) of a level II in at least one discipline

RSPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs all aspects of final assembly of Thrust Reversers, Pylons, Engine Build Up, Inlet Cowls, Fan Cowls, Exhaust Nozzles and Wire Harnesses
2. Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
3. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
4. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
5. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
6. Organize and report test results
7. Initiate nonconforming reports for any products that do not conform to written work instructions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Perform specialized inspections
2. Monitor the use of calibrated measuring instruments
3. Interface daily with internal customers about work priorities and progress of projects
4. Track status of projects and products in appropriate computer systems
5. Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and document review
6. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to identify potential quality issues early and prevent occurrence or reoccurrence
7. Perform other duties as required
