The E-commerce Giant Konga has confirmed the interim chief executive officer Shola Adekoya as the permanent Chief Executive officer. Shola will take over from the Founder and former Chief executive Officer Sim Shagaya Who now serves as the Chairman board of directors.
Shola Adekoya began his journey in Konga in 2003 ad the chief financial Officer (CFO) and has played a crucial role in Konga's emergence as one of the largest E-commerce portal in Nigeria and Africa in general. He is the brain behind many innovative sales strategies which has built customers confidence and trust in Nigeria's E-commerce sector. Before he joined Konga he has worked at Etisalat now 9mobile as the financial and budget planner.
As the new Chief executive officer of one of the leading E-commerce firm in Africa, Shola will be saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the day to day activities at the Firm, he will also work with the company board of directors to further solidify the firms position and leadership achievement as the leading E-commerce platform in Nigeria and Africa E-commerce Industry. He will also help the firm identify new business opportunities and prepare the company for the emerging 4th Industrial revolution. The 4th Industrial Revolution is all about the internet of things that will influence customer behaviour and user shift such as an improve E-commerce platform that will deliver a new and robust interactive shopping experience.

The new CEO is Nick Imudia Nick is the immediate past Regional Director TCL/Alcatel responsible for Nigeria and Central Africa Operations. Before then, he was the Managing Director of Nokia in West and Central Africa.

Shola was an interim CEO but was merely made permanent. However, he has been moved to the Zinox Group head office to the the Future Business Department which I think is a downgrade. He had better resign right now.
