Imagine this scenario, a colleague who has never been a farmer but a friend to practising farmers, suddenly got access to about N10million in the month of April and next was that he will lease land and plant maize to sell to a perceived offtaker.

No soil test.
No land preparation yet.
No seed.
No chemical yet
Not yet ascertained the farmland size.
No visition to the farmland had been done yet to ascertain the shrubs and the land clearing needs.

But he is to plant early maize in may/June 2018!

What results will happen??

Again you want to plant maize or other cereals on land ranging from 100acres to 500acres and you do not have plan to buy a combine harvester, or have seen a firm that has assured you of the availability of their own for you to use.

For how many weeks will they work there??
