The Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs has arrested a woman for allegedly burning the hands of her granddaughter in Benin city, Edo state. According to the report, the little girl’s was subjected to this horrific and cruel treatment for eating noodles without her grandmother’s express permission. The suspect allegedly placed the victim’s hands on a gas cooker until they were barbecued. The attention of the ministry was drawn to the incident, by a neighbour. The little girl has been taken to the Uniben Teaching Hospital for proper medical attention. www.phytodivablog.com
