CHAPTER FIVE

"Get out of the road, you mad woman," one driver shouted, "If you want to die go somewhere else," another driver shouted. "Were, oloriburuku, to ba fe ku lo ku si ibomi now". People hurled curses at Elizabeth but she was glued to the road, she couldn't move, the memories of what happened flooded her, strength left her. The breeze that blew at that moment was cold and lonely which was just how she was feeling. A passerby came to take Elizabeth away from the road and she tried to ask what happened but Beth couldn't talk, she was blank. Tears started flowing down her cheeks, the stranger was concerned and tried to get her to talk but it was all in vain. Elizabeth didn't know where this lady was taking her nor did she care. She could as well die today, she kept walking, the future looked really bleak not even bleak, hopeless......
