If Big Brother Niger can be aired on our television then why should our movies be censored?A friend argued that dstv should be blamed and not our government,I just laughed.Madness shall never end all in the name of civilisation

Big brother is aired on dstv and gotv.Nigeria isn't the only country watching the show as it is viewed by thousands of persons from other countries in Africa and beyond. Big brother Nigeria is a reality show showcasing how most persons live their lives. The show is censored hence it is rated 18. Anyone not comfortable with it can quietly switch to another channel. Yes it is promoted by many social media, you have the choice to switch to another platform if you are not comfortable.
Should it be banned? Well the answer is subjective.
Left for me, it should because it doesn't promote anything meaningful aside sex. But if it banned, then many of our music should because they promote similar thing we accuse the organizers of big brother. Many Nigerians are quick to condemn but they are worst off. They pretend a lot claiming we are Africans yet we top the list of countries watching xvideo. Many are religious yet we have the highess rate of crime in Africa. Why are we hypocritical for heaven sake? . This same set of persons condemning the show would be watching it during odd hours to see things but would come to oppose something they watch. Many advocated for PVC on this platform but they forget that we rarely conduct elections but selections. Now watch closely how people vote via SMS on big brother, can we use similar platform during elections since it might be convenient for many?

The partakers are Nigerians, but big brother house is NOT in Nigeria. U want lessons learned? What are the lessons learned from all the Davido, Wizkid, reminisce, and most music videos we watch on TV? All I see are naked women dancing, people smoking weeds, even dbanj El Chapo showed people using drugs and carrying guns, some music videos are about people going to rob a bank and flexing the money on drinks and women. So what lessons do u learn from those ones? What lessons do u learn from one corner dance. Or shaku shaku. In fact 90% of shaku shaku songs are about internet fraud... So does that stop these songs from being played at the clubs or joints, shows, birthdays, etc where everyone listen to then... What morals do they teach? Stop acting like big brother is the root of our problems. Once a show is not aired on national TV then it becomes exclusive, it's all business and u cannot stop it from being aired on paid tv.

U can ban olamide science student from local channels, ban slim case oshozondi, ban reminisce too much, or 9ice living things, but fan u ban them from showing on trace naija? HELL NO
