Edison Cavan has made sure his name would be on the lips of PSG supporters and football fans in general for the foreseeable future following his shocking miss.

PSG, who were already a man down, were trailing St Etienne by a lone goal when what seemed like the breakthrough moment arrived in the 75th minute.

A sumptous ball from a PSG player left the opponent's defense shambles and saw Di Maria put through on goal.

Di Maria then laid the ball to Cavani who had the simple task of guiding the ball into the net only for him to put the ball wide of the post with the keeper out of sight.
