 The National chairman of the United Progressives Party (UPP), Chekwas Okorie, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s first tenure was a nightmare and predicted that his candidature for the 2019 presidency would be a liability to the All Progressives Congress, APC. DAILY POST recalls that Okorie, last year, predicted that President Buhari will not re-contest the Presidential election in 2019. But, the President, at a National Executive Council meeting of the ruling party yesterday, disclosed his intentions to go for a second term in office. However, Okorie while reacting to Buhari’s disclosure of intention to run for second term told Sun Newspaper: “We want to sympathise with the APC because they now have to grapple with the liability of having to present President Buhari to voters. “In his first tenure, he became a nightmare to Nigerians and a monumental disaster. His failed promises, nepotism, sectionalism, lack of security of lives and properties, all these would haunt him in the campaigns leading to the next elections.
