Lars Lagerback has appointed Tomas Sjoberg, another of his former assistants, to join him as part of the Super Eagles backroom staff.

Sjoberg's role will be to scout Nigeria's opponents during the World Cup and provide a report to Lagerback prior to the games.

Currently a youth team coach with his former club Malmo FF, Sjoberg was one of Sweden's big name players in the 70s, scoring a goal against Brazil in the 1978 World Cup.

He has also previously worked with lagerback during his tenure as coach of Sweden.
