I have never liked Buhari and I like him far less after his 3 disastrous years in office. But I have to comment that it seems that opposition to Buhari's re-election Is mainly in the South of Nigeria. All indications is that much of the North is solidly behind him.

The North does not care if Buhari has done well or not, what they care about is the psychological thrill of being in power.

There are many Muslims who will never vote for a Christian even if that Christian was the best in the world to manage Nigeria, and vice-versa.

So it is important for us in the South who know that Buhari is a failure to realise how the North sees Buhari and Nigeria is very different. They only care about being in power.

And that is why they probably will vote massively for him in 2019 and ultimately give him victory.

They did that in 2011 but that couldn't give him the pass to Aso Rock, simply because he didn't win the popular votes in the north central and the south west.

In 2019, the nation will vote according to the 2011 pattern again. Only rigging can make Bubu win the north central and the south west.

Though Buhari will still win the north east and north west, this time around, the PDP would snatch some of his 2011 votes since their flag bearer will most likely come from either the north east or north west. But even without these two zones, the opposition will still win the election.
