Experienced Head of Finance with hotel account experience needed
A group of company has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Director of Finance to fill its highly qualified Head of Finance and Accounting of Hospitality position.
You will be responsible for the effective controlling and reporting of all financial aspects of the hotel.
The successful applicant must:
REQUIREMENTS
Accounting process and control mechanisms
• Minimum 5 years experience. Planning, organizing, delegating, motivating, controlling, Process development Identify development areas from existing systems, Ledger scrutiny of accounts payable account
• Have a proven track record of working in a medium to large 5 star hotels
• Hold relevant Tertiary Qualifications
• Must be a strong Finance Director
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The head of Finance, a member of the Hotel Executive Committee, is responsible for the execution and direction of the overall financial operations of the hotel including budgets, forecasts, operating results, capital plans, internal controls, and financial reporting
•Establish and facilitate the financial strategic plan including forecast, budgets, capital expenses, and profit planning.
•Partner with ownership, property business partners, and hotel departments, to ensure hotel’s objectives are met.
•Oversee the accounting department and functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and payroll.
•Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, balance sheets and financial forecasts timely and accurately.
•Monitoring financial performance, identifying variances to budget and prior year, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
•Ensure hotel compliance with established accounting policies and procedures, legal requirements and contractual obligations.
