ROYAL RSVP Who is invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding? Latest updates on the Royal Wedding guest list
The royal wedding is just a month away and is set to be one of the most famous events of 2018 - but who exactly will be attending Windsor Castle in May?

BEYOND a shadow of a doubt, Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle will be one of the major news events of the year – but who's going to be on the guest list?

The forthcoming royal nuptials are sure to be a star-studded affair, with the couple boasting a host of high-profile pals. Here's what we know so far about who could be attending the big day.

Who's invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding?

The couple have kept fairly tight-lipped about the guest list – whilst the likes of The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William will definitely be invited, there haven't been too many confirmed names as of yet.

The invitations were printed on March 22, suggesting that the guest list has now been finalised.

One thing seems certain, though – there won't be as many wedding guests as when Harry's big brother tied the knot in 2011.

This is because Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding took place at Westminster Abbey, with 1,900 guests.

St George's chapel, Harry and Meghan's venue, has a capacity of 800 people.

They will also invite 2,640 members of the public on the day including 1,200 people, who have demonstrated strong leadership in their communities.

Around 600 people have been invited to the actual service which takes place at St George's Chapel on May 19.

The invites to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding have now been printed AP:ASSOCIATED PRESS

Kate and Wills had their fair share of celebrity guests, such as the Beckhams, Sir Elton John and the late Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Likely to be on Harry's invite list are Tom Inskip and Guy Pelley. Harry may also want to invite Army comrades who he served alongside in Afghanistan.

According to the Daily Star, Meghan's older half-siblings, Thomas Markle Jr and Samantha Markle, will not be invited on the big day.

Her nephew, Thomas Jr's son Tyler Dooley, and his mum Tracey Dooley, are also rumoured to have been left off the guest list.

Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland, is said to be attending as is her father, Thomas Markle Sr.

The shy 73-year-old, who lives a reclusive life in Mexico, is rumoured to be walking Meghan down the aisle.

This is despite reports that he is extremely shy and shuns the limelight, but is said to be willing to persevere as he and Meghan have a close relationship.

We previously revealed that a fleet of glamorous pals including tennis ace Serena Williams, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, stylist Jessica Mulroney and Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh could be among Meghan's bridesmaids.

Protocol normally means that royal brides do not have adult bridesmaids, although Kate's sister Pippa Middleton was an obvious exception to this rule.

At the very least, we'd expect to see a few of Meghan's mates as guests at the wedding – as well as fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who's thought to be the woman who set her and Harry up.

Anthony Joshua made a bid to be the royal best man when Harry guest edited on Radio 4

It's inevitable that the wedding will be attended by a host of foreign royals, as well as significant political figures from across the Commonwealth.

And with an American marrying into the royal family for the first time, there has been speculation over whether Donald Trump will receive an invite.

One man who seemed determined to get an invite is Anthony Joshua, one of Harry's guests during his special Radio 4 appearance – and he wants a starring role.

It has also been reported that two of Prince Harry's former flames, Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy have both scored invites.

Will political figures like Donald Trump or Theresa May be invited?
In addition to Donald Trump, a whole host of political big names including President Obama, his wife Michelle, and Theresa May have reportedly not made the cut.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: "It has been decided that an official list of political leaders - both UK and international - is not required for Prince Harry and Ms Markle's wedding.

"Her Majesty's Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household."

It was reported that President Obama was likely to be invited after he and the 33-year-old Prince struck up a bond at the Invictus Games, but it looks like it's not to be.

Will Elton John attend Harry and Meghan's wedding?
The Sun has revealed that Elton John will be attending the Royal wedding.

The Rocket Man has cancelled two Las Vegas gigs on the same May weekend as the Royal nuptials, which leaves him free to attend or even perform.

The singer was a close friend of Harry's mum Princess Diana and was among a handful of celebrities to attend Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

It was the same venue where he famously sang Candle in the Wind at Diana's funeral in 1997.

Victoria Beckham confirmed she is attending the royal wedding on last night's The Late Late Show

Will The Spice Girls attend the wedding?
Mel B was speaking on US talk show The Real when she confirmed that all five of the Spice Girls were invited to the wedding.

Unfortunately, Scary Spice did not budge when she was asked about the invitation or other details around the wedding.

Mel sternly said: "I'm not saying any more," but when she was asked whether they would perform or not, she grinned and looked down at her hands.

As the audience clapped Mel laughed and said: "I'm going to be fired!"

And Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, also confirmed she had received a coveted invitation.

Appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the fashion designer was grilled over whether she made the cut.

The 42-year-old was quizzed over whether she would be attending, before hesitantly replying: "I, uh, I don't know."

James second-guessed her answer, saying "she's totally going" before Victoria finally let her guard down.

She finally confirmed: "Yes. England is so excited."

"It is so great, isn't it? They look so happy."

It is likely husband David Beckham will be at her side, but it is unclear whether any of their four children will be accompanying them.

Will Barack Obama be at the Royal wedding?
It was reported that the couple were keen to invite Barack Obama to the wedding rather than Trump - which had all the makings of a sticky political situation.

The 33-year-old prince has become good friends with Barack Obama and his wife Michelle since bonding with them during the Invictus Games.

But government mandarins had pleaded with the couple to change their minds as Britain's relations with Trump's White House sunk to their lowest ebb since his election last year.

And it seems they have had a rethink, as a source told the Daily Mail: "President Trump will not be invited because the wedding will be for friends and family only.

"It won't be a state occasion. If Mr Obama was invited, the invitation could look like a snub to Mr Trump, and His Royal Highness would not wish to cause a diplomatic row."

The Sun revealed that the Government was urging the prince not to invite the Obamas, at risk of worsening tensions with the current administration.

The prince was quizzed on the possibility of inviting the Obamas when he guest-edited BBC Radio 4's Today programme just after Christmas.

However, he refused to be drawn on the matter, insisting: "I don't know about that, we haven't even put the invites or the guest list together yet."

What inspiring Brits are invited?
Numerous members of the public are selected to watch outside the chapel when the couple get married. These include:

ONLY ONE DIANA Wayne Sleep says Meghan Markle will be loved as much as Princess Diana

CROWN FOOLS Royal fans forced to sleep in CHAIRS as tents are banned from wedding route

ROYAL WEDDING BELLS Get the lowdown on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement

'I THINK SHE'LL BOLT' Germaine Greer's prediction for Harry and Meghan as she slams Royals

ROYAL GETAWAY This is where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could go on their mini-moon

Will the Foo Fighters be performing at the Royal wedding?
The Sun's Bizarre column exclusively revealed that the Foo Fighters have dropped hints they want to perform at the wedding.

Frontman Dave Grohl said: "I've saved the date. The performance was good. It's nice to feel like a wedding band when everyone's at tables eating tiramisu."

The band, who picked up Best International Group at the Brit Awards 2018, played at Harry's Invictus Games in 2014.

When are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle getting married?
Shortly after the engagement was announced, it was revealed that the wedding between Harry and Meghan will take place in May 2018.

On December 15, Kensington Palace confirmed the ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

The wedding is taking place at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, which is where Harry was christened when he was three months old.

the real story.

It's official: Barack and Michelle Obama are not invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding on May 19. Despite the former first couple's close friendship with Prince Harry, their connection to the White House has prevented them from landing a spot on the guest list. But it's not just the Obamas; political leaders in the U.K. and internationally also aren't invited to the nuptials. That includes the Trumps and British Prime Minister Theresa May.
There will be no official UK or overseas guests at Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding. No Theresa May, President Trump or Obamas.
— Richard Palmer (@RoyalReporter) April 10, 2018
A Kensington Palace spokesperson told Daily Express' royal reporter Richard Palmer, "It has been decided that an official list of political leaders—both U.K. and international—is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle's wedding. Her Majesty's Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household."

Since Harry isn't a future king like Prince William is, "official guests" such as heads of state are not necessary. Palmer adds that all the guests present at St. George's Chapel on May 19 will know the couple personally.
Essentially, it’s been decided that there’s no need for official guests, as Prince Harry is not likely to be a future King. Everyone inside the chapel will know Harry and Meghan personally.
— Richard Palmer (@RoyalReporter) April 10, 2018
What about Harry's fellow royals from other countries? Palmer reports that foreign royals will be invited if they're friends with the couple, meaning their position alone won't guarantee an invite.
On foreign royalty attending Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding, I’m told it will depend if they are friends. Nobody will be invited because of the position they hold.

We already had an inkling that the Obamas and Trumps wouldn't be invited to the royal wedding, since "there is precedent for US presidents not attending royal weddings," The Telegraph reported. In January, Trump admitted he had not received an invitation .
At Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials in 2011, heads of state attended (since William is a future king), but most were from the Commonwealth and European countries. The Telegraph added that President Obama wasn't invited to that wedding "on account of the added security costs his presence would have brought."
Sources told Daily Mail 's royal reporter Rebecca English that although the Obamas won't be present when Harry and Meghan say "I do" next month, they "are very much looking forward to seeing them soon."
Will the two couples perhaps arrange a meeting after the wedding craze? After all, the Obamas did visit the U.K. less than a month after William and Kate's wedding in 2011, and dined with the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Who knows, maybe another meet-up is due this summer.
Michelle and I are delighted to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together.

It's only a mental midget like you that will call Obama who was elected overwhelmingly twice as a loser. His approval rating is still sky high while the racist pig named Trampy is wetting his pants as we speak due to the hammer that will come down on him courtesy of Director Mueller. Mental patient, go take your meds.

I am a bonafide and certified Never Trumper like Tens of millions of Americans. He is the worst president in American history and he will be a dark stain in American history. Today April 17 was the last day of filing taxes in America and yours truly and his wife mailed our checks to IRS but the worthless conman pretending to be the president filed for an extension. America has been scammed big time but a brainstem like you who don't have a say in America is worshipping the racist clown.
