Not to discuss too much on Nokia History with HMD Global. The Nokia 8 was launched in 2017, October before the launch of the Nokia 7+ in February 2018. The Nokia 8 features many great specs that could make it a competition between the Samsung Galaxy series and some other high-end mobile phones but to be honest, it still lacks some features to make it an important competitor against Samsung Galaxy series phones.

Now that Nokia realizes what I was talking about above with the Nokia 8 not really meeting up to some standard, they have finally decided to launch another Nokia 8 smartphone called the NOKIA 8 SIROCO.

"The Nokia 8 Siroco is the latest Nokia product and flagship and can be compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9 and it was launched just some hours before the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ was launched and it being sold at almost the same price which is approximately $790 which is close to 300,000 Nigerian currency (Naira). With the 3D curved screen, the competition is now stiff.

The Nokia 8 Sirico is powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 mobile platform, Octa-core (4 x 2.36 GHz Kryo + 4 x 1.9 GHz Kryo) which is same as the Samsung Galaxy S9 plus a 6GB RAM. check out full specs here

I dont think so. What special features did Nokia bring to windows phone, abi software stopped them from making great hardwares? Samsung have set up the benchmark for Android phones, the only company that are giving them real competition now is Huawei not even Nokia. If Samsung don't buckle up I see Huawei taking over in a few years.

Nice phone. But op Galaxy s9 and s9 plus don't run on sanpdragon 835, they use snapdragon 845
