I totally agree. Even though Buhari appointed "Mama Taraba", he hasn't sacked her till date for saying she will not support Buhari's re-election bid, but rather Atiku's. How then does Saraki think he can just be suspending ELECTED (not appointed) senators anyhow?
And you think that fool you call a president still remembers mama Taraba's statement?

Buhari knows next to nothing.

Let us face the reality to me the man ( Omo- Agege) act on frustration in which some of senators are keeping quiet because of suspension
if you watch the drama from the beginning you will knew that the man did his best to settled this matter with them based on election rearrangement issues said they are target Mr president and later apologized on the floor of the house but one senator raised a motion that they should transfer the matter to the ethnic and privileges committee to look into the matter in which the senate President supported the motion in which senator Omoagege is part of the same committee knew what is coming up at the end of the day before he gave them court letter. Don't let us forget that these people are representing us not there selfish interest . The senate president cause all these drama we are seen everyday did we heard any issues like these at house of rep because they are not gave some rep upper hand to talk to anybody the way they like.

I don't think so sir. No Senator has the right to suspend another Senator. The only authority to suspend a Senator is the constituents. This suspension is an aberration in democracy and it is the hangover of military mentality. It's illegal and immoral. Why on earth should Ilorin be represented and Delta central denied of representation? Is it the constituent that erred even if an error is committed? This nonsense has to stop and the courts should sanction any defaulting legislator and should be prosecuted after the expiration of his/her tenure. Their suspension is useless now because they can't physically bundle the Senator out of the Parliament.
Buhari doesn't have their time and he is not ready to share money so it's in their court now. The case of Jibrin is clear,he was part of those who padded the budget illegally,he doesn't have clean hands so he lost the moral authority.
So jibrin according to you wasn't representing a constituency too??
Besides did Delta States send him there for his private purpose of ass licking buhari

I still don't understand why people brazenly failed to admit that the illegal action of suspending a Senator representing his constituent for 6 months itself is provocative. The Senate President should apologize for causing the country this embarrassment and promise to henceforth act legally and morally on this case of suspension. He wants his own constituents represented but don't see anything wrong in denying other people's constituents of representation.

What was ur stance when Abdulmumin was suspended?

The House of Assembly is an independent arm of the government just like the Judiciary and the Executive. They have internal mechanisms in resolving their issues, the suspended senator accused the red chamber wrongly and was penalized just like the house of Representatives suspended the member from Kano who raised the alarm on budget padding, the NJC retiring some of the judges accused of corruption.

The Executive in collaboration with some of this SANs (STUPID ADVOCATES OF NIGERIA) wants to destroy Democracy by intimating the other arms of govt that should be independent.
Please start thinking with your brain.

You're clearly stupid. Even worse, you must be mad. Have you taken time to look at the Senate Rules to see whether it is "illegal" to suspend a senator? Have you examined the grounds on which the despicable Agege thug senator was suspended vis-a-vis what the Senate Rules provide for?

Animal, do you know that there are precedents? When The House of Reps under current Speaker Dogara suspended Jubrin for 180 days, what did you say?
Did the heavens fall?

You emergency rule of law activist, what have you said about Buhari's continued disregard for court orders - by refusing to release the likes of Dasuki on bail, in arrogant disregard for numerous court rulings? Is that not the ultimate act of provocation?

Bloody, ignorant idiot. You and the bastard professor Sagay deserve to be burnt at the stake for doing so much violence to common sense.

Both APC and PDP should be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Nigeria does not need a coup to rescue us, we just need senses to use PVC to flush out all this 'ex-this, ex-that' that have been in power forever and have done nothing ecept to enrich themselves and their minions.

Please retire them all. About time to have a PEOPLES VOTERS COUP (PVC) in Nigeria. Use your vote to flush them all out.

And all of whatever it is you're trying to say justifies bringing thugs to invade the National Assembly and snatch the mace of the Senate? Are you people sane? Why haven't Dasuki and El-Zakzaky loyalists penetrated Aso Rock to bomb the Daura bastard and his useless family to death for ILLEGALLY detaining them? Wouldn't that be even more justified than this ignoble Senate invasion, following your implied logic?

Ebullience:
The Chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN) has blamed Senate President Bukola Saraki for the invasion of the senate by suspected thugs on Wednesday.

Sagay explained that Saraki and his minions in the senate had been provoking people to take the law into their own hands.

The Senior Advocate said this while speaking to Punch.

He said, “This Senate led by Bukola Saraki has been provoking Nigerians for a long time. What happened today (Wednesday) was illegal; there is no doubt about that. But the provocation that this particular Senate has been inflicting on Nigerians has reached a boiling point.

“You cannot be enjoying the huge and enormous resources of the people, living in luxury and at the same time refusing to do your job, making trouble with the executive at the slightest opportunity, bringing the government to a standstill and then turning members of the Senate into puns who can be pushed here and there.

“I think Saraki has gone too far. While what happened today is illegal, I have no doubt in my mind that he and the group that surround him provoked it. Ultimately, I hold Saraki responsible for what happened today.”

DAILY POST reports that thugs suspected to be loyal to the suspended Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district, Ovie Omo-Agege had invaded the red chambers and forcefully took away the mace.

They broke into the chambers when plenary was going on, creating serious confusion and tension.

Few hours later, Sen. Omo-Agege was arrested in connection to the incident but was later released, after which he denied claims that he staged the incident.

So this man is a THUG, Jesu.... We are in big trouble.

Almost all the senators have no shame... We are just talking of this one so if this senator didn't invade the house of senate they won't suspend the election sequence. They all have interior motive. No one can fix that country until we have a good system that the masses will enjoy from it. Let's look at what's going on in the U.S. do you think Donald trump has really done more than Obama capital No but because they have good system that's why their citizens is not shouting like us

The invasion of the senate was terrible reaction from Mr Agege, i strongly condemn it. I also condemn the dictatorship Saraki is practicing in the senate. love your post. I believe saraki doesn't make the decision of suspension himself. All what we see now is politics between the Executive and Legislative arm of this government. Sakari had an eye on the position he got and he stylishly got it and some elements of the party couldn't swallow it, then they tried to bring him down by any means possible. They used the normal media trial and try to sway the people against his leadership. Yes he has his flaws. He's messed up on several occasions which include outrageous suspension. He in turn fought back by trying to get people of both chambers to be on his Syd and go against the executive on some issues. Playing politics with governance is the result of what the country has turned to since the advent of democracy. We must stop this people from playing politics with governance. It affects us( the masses). Let's point our leaders in the right direction
