EBONYI DECLARES FRIDAY AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR VOTER’S CARD REGISTRATION
The Ebonyi Government has declared Friday, April 20, work-free day to enable civil servants in the state register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Hygenius Nwokwu, via a statement issued on Thursday in Abakaliki, said Umahi declared the work-free day in exercise of powers conferred on him by the Public Holiday Act.

According to Nwokwu, the governor “declared one day work-free day to avail all civil servants in the state opportunity to participate in the important exercise’’.

BUHARI: MANY NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE LAZY, RELY ON OIL WEALTH FOR FREE THINGS
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday told the Commonwealth Business Forum that many Nigerian youths are uneducated and just want to sit down doing nothing; banking on the notion that Nigerian is an oil-rich nation.

Speaking at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Westminster, the president said that Nigeria has a very young population, most of whom were uneducated but wanted everything offered them on a silver platter.

BIAFRA PROTESTERS STORM WESTMINSTER AS BUHARI MEETS THE QUEEN
Some Biafra protesters on Thursday demonstrated at the Pall Mall Street, Westminster, about 650 metres from Buckingham Palace as President Muhammadu Buhari met British Prime minister Theresa May, Queen Elizabeth II, and other heads of state.

OMO-AGEGE DENIES INVADING SENATE WITH THUGS
Ovie Omo-Agege, the senator who allegedly led unidentified persons to the upper legislative chamber to seize the mace, says he has left the custody of the police.

He was arrested when he returned to the Senate after accompanying the suspected thugs to an unknown destination.

Omo-Agege sat with his colleagues who reconvened the session after a “spare mace” was provided.
