The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) on Thursday said 21 out of the 42 political parties existing in Ekiti State are qualified to participate in the July 14 governorship poll. The Resident Electoral Commissioner(REC) in Ekiti, Prof Abduganiy Raji, said though, INEC had received correspondences affirming existence of 42 parties in the state, only 21 of them met the requirements of the law .
