That's not entirely accurate. There are a LOT of errors on that MVAA database. The errors do not necessarily come from the vehicle documentation. They probably come during the process of uploading the information to the database. It's easy to mistake 0 for O and 5 for S, and 1 for I when they have to be typed repeatedly.

To simplify, a valid VIN can never have I, O or Q to avoid that confusion. It probably wasn't the fault of the owner. And probably wasn't even done intentionally.

Of course anything is possible in Nigeria.
