If he's a suspect in a murder trial in the US what do you think will happen? Do you think his constituency will start wondering if Donald Trump was behind his travails?


I understand that Nigerians have never experienced good governance in their lives and have never witnessed the rule of law in action so most are shocked that a senator is actually an ordinary citizen of the country also liable to prosecution if he commits crimes.

Are you for real? Did you skip civic studies in school or something?

A kindergarten kid knows that executives, the President and the governors have immunity from criminal and civil prosecution while in office.

I asked the question because none of all these bad egg leaders has ever been arrested and jailed for wrong doings since 1960 till date... So i think they are above the law even when they leave office. But in other countries i have seen and heard of past leaders who are in the jail till date... Recently Former Brazilian President was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for corruption while in office
