Oil Prices Rise Over Iran Sanctions Worries by Mediamerge: 11:15pm On Apr 26, 2018
Oil prices rose on Thursday, fuelled by expectations the United States will re-impose sanctions against Iran, a decline in output in Venezuela and ongoing strong demand.

Brent crude oil futures were at 74.27 per barrel at 0643 GMT, up 27 cents, or 0.4 percent, from their last close.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 14 cents, or 0.2 percent, at $68.19 per barrel.

Traders said markets climbed on expectations that the United States will in May re-impose sanctions against Iran, a major oil producer and member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that he expected U.S. President Donald Trump to pull out of a deal with Iran reached in 2015, in which Iran suspended its nuclear program in return for western powers lifting crippling sanctions.

Now the APC have money so we all knows that their shall be no excuse to deliver.

I does not even knows why they keep depending on the oil in the Niger Delta and does not developed the resources is other pant of the Nigeria. They say they use money to paid for helicopter to settle emergency but up till now we has not see helicopter eye.

They National Assembly should write to the company they pay the money to to ask for the details of the transaction and outline the illegality of the deal and ask for a refund for the due process to be follow or better yet write to POTUS.

What sort of fuckery is this?

How does this system work?

Why would a county be bared from selling its goods?

All in the name of uranium enrichment... You have something and you don't want another person to have. Nonsense!

God bless North Korea for their resistance.

This is quite worrisome for APC, cos when oil goes back to $100/barrel, the devilish party would have lost their only reasonable excuse for their ineptitude, mis-management and extremely poor performance

It has not helped our economy.
Re: Oil Prices Rise Over Iran Sanctions Worries by UltraSphinx(m): 7:53am On Apr 27, 2018
Iran is used to living with those sanctions already, so new sanctions would probably have no effect greater than the previous ones.
But come to think of it, why does a single country (USA) sees it as her inalienable to jeopardize the economy of another nation just because such nation engaged in the "sin" of nuclear enrichment - of which the whole world knows that this self-acclaimed "watchdog" behind these sanctions is the greatest transgressor in history.
That is what the West is best known for - Hypocrisy, Jealousy & Hatred!

Like I said, it doesn't change anything for this government. Buhari will still blame his ancestors. Don't be surprised if they even plan to increase pump price as the barrel pricr increases, that's how directionless they can be.

Even upon that, Apc will still complaine about the pass gorverment that it was 100 something when pdp was in power . That they need up to 120 pbl before the can perform.

I am happy about this news. APC said low oil price is what's affecting their performance.

Let's see how far we will go because this is highest is four years.

We want a booming Nigeria.

And last week, one ignorant person (unknownsoulja) was asking me how the Syria conflict affected me urging me to focus on home instead. grin grin

I promptly told him Nigeria is directly affected by the Syria/Middle East conflict and it resulted in our recession.

We are pawns. The West still controls us because we are daft.

That's the fact.

Make una dey there dey lick Tinubu, Saraki & Buhari yansh. They are toys whose illusion of power can be erased in 24hrs by the West if they want to. The Western powers deliberately vest power unto them to keep us in check while they pursue higher goals.

Once all these your Tinubu, OBJ, IBB etc outlive their usefulness, they will be extinguished without any trace left.

If you are not well versed in world politics, you are the real zombie.

Olodo!!!

$138 x N161 = N22,218

$74 x N360 = N26,640

Which one is higher?

It's so shameful seeing you people argue about high in oil price in PDP and APC regime but fail to put into consideration the dollar rate to Naira.
