Exhortation

This is a brand new week for us, and it shall bring brand new things for us in Jesus name. Amen

I have a witness in my soul that when you respond to God's call, God always backs you up. Hallelujah.

This week we are concentrating on thanksgiving.

Understand that, we are not qualified for the next blessings from God until we give thanks for the previous blessings.

Luke 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Ten lepers were healed but only one came back to thank God, and for this reason he was made completely whole.

Job 34:29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble?

and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?

whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only

If God decides to stop answering our prayers there is absolutely nothing we can do

We cannot impeach Him; we can't query him. Yet he has chosen to alway answer us

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We ought to always give God thanks.

He has given us peace of mind to serve, for exploits; for everything we have.

Why are we giving God thanks as a commission this week?

1. Among other things, it multiplies our blessings.

John 6:6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples,

and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Jesus knew what he would do? What was it? He knew that when you give thanks God multiples the blessings.

And that was exactly what happened.

Take note, when you are giving thanks, you must prepare for the next level of blessings like we saw Jesus do

John 6:10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down.

Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

He made them sit down in readiness for the abundance that was coming.

2. Thanksgiving perfects the blessings.

Luke 17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Thanksgiving is an application for more blessings. Ten lepers were healed but only one came back to give thanks.

The others were carried away by the initial blessings, not returning to give thanks.

But the one leper came back and for this he was made whole.

What is the difference between healing and been made whole?

When you are healed, the scars may still remain.

But when you are made whole the scars are gone completely- emotional, financial, bodily, etc

This is what thanksgiving does.

3. It preserves the blessings of God upon us.

Jeremiah 13:15 Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.

13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains,

and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

God forbids; this shall not be our portion in Jesus name, because we are going to be giving Him glory all throughout this week

4. It provokes the continuous manifestation of the supernatural.

It was when Jesus gave thanks that the bread and fish multiplied, and it was even more than enough- supernatural!

Hallelujah ☝

Receive the garment of praise in Jesus name.

Amen
