President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday cleared the air on his recent comment on Nigerian youths which drew him widespread criticisms.

Recall that the media was recently awash with Buhari’s remark at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London that a lot of young persons in Nigeria prefers to sit and do no work.

Reacting to criticisms that have since greeted the comment, the President told the Voice of America, Hausa service in Washington DC that the press only preferred to interpret and report what they like instead of concentrating on developmental journalism.

no journalist is at fault here, Mr president you ve made a foul comment against us the youth And instead of you to humbly apologize you are pushing blame on innocent journalism,
