Can we see why APC can't even conduct its national convention for years. I wonder how bloody the forth coming national convention will be if Oyegun decides to give Oshomole a run for his money |

If APC will rig its own primaries, if APC can not conduct free, transparent and credible election in its own primaries, when the "foe" are people with same goal and of same fraternity, what would they do in general elections when the political adversaries are of different breed? |

Ekiti APC should have used SARS for control as Amaechi did in Rivers. Why should they expect Fayose will leave them in peace. Meanwhile Fayose went to Oshogbo for PDP mega rally but was monitoring all that was going on in Ekiti.Expect tit for tat! |

kaysy: Conspiracy theory is always interesting. But it remains theory. You do not seem to understand the mentality of average 9ja politicians. They are not there to behave civilized and co-operate in public interest. Any Veneer of sham co-operation vanishes when power dangles before their eyes. In APC states, the power structure are already established. The governor if he has already served 8 years will most certainly pick his successor or heavily influence the decision. So there is less wiggle room for new entrants. Same applies if PDP candidates are vying for an APC state governorship. When a party is not in charge of a state, senators & honourables in NASS, FG, state party chairman and local godfathers all influence party power structure at state level. And all these power centres fancy having their candidate get the nod. You would have thought Fayemi with 4 years experience as gov there would have been backed by most to potentially serve another 4 years. Then let another person have a shot at it. At least if they thought he was very bad as a governor, they won't make him a minister. But lack of co-operation makes it impossible as each person wants the position. News from the primaries filtered through that an ex-governor realized that he was losing the vote and decided to scuttle it all. Only God knows. |
