Five people have reportedly lost their lives as a giant Billboard advert collapsed at Sagamu junction, Ogun state due to heavy downpour.

May the souls of the lost lives rest in peace.

Painful thing is that this matter will not be handled as it's supposed to be. Most likely, the police will be involved, they will make as if they will sue somebody to court but eventually money will exchange hands. Some may even get to the family of the victims (maybe like 200k or less each). Then everyone will forget all about this.

When will people like these victims get justice in Nigeria?

Is it that we don't have tort laws in Nigeria or we don't have lawyers that are willing to take up cases like these?

When will Nigeria have health and safety laws that will hold people like the owners of the billboard responsible for acts like these?
