In continuation of Chief of Army Staff's operational visit to troops on various states,four local armed robbers were intercepted by the Chief of Army Staff's convoy along Numan - Yola Road on Saturday 5 May 2018, at about 2330hrs- 1200hrs (11:30pm - 12:00am) The robbers blocked the Numan - Yola high way, robbing motorists and passengers of their belongings.
Items recovered include:
a. 3 Dane guns.
b. Machetes.
c. Different kinds of charms.

The suspects had since been handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.The general public are hereby advised to always give useful and timely information to the security agency for prompt response.

So CoAS is beating his chest cos his convoy of no less than 50 fully armed military men and at least a mounted gun-truck apprehended 4 local vigilantes with toy guns.
For the life of me I don't understand what's wrong with us in Nigeria. Villages were being razed down and wiped out in Birnin Gwari at about the same time yet not one of the assailants were apprehended.
But this news found its way to blogs and even national TV. Jeez!
