If there's one thing Yar'Adua introduced to this country, it's the concept of spending your tenure in foreign hospital beds. Refusing to allow his vice president to fulfill his constitutional role until almost riotous protests from the South West, South East, South South and Middle Belt.

Thank u for this post. Most Nigerians reason like slaves. The same man made crooks who had killed military men relevant, pple like ateke,tompolo and asari became VIP under him. He reversed the sale of nigerias refineries to dangote and refunded his money. Today dangote has almost finished his own refinery and nigeria's refinery is still useless chopping billions in TAM( turn around maintanance). My God punish OBJ for giving us two dullards in the yar adua and GEJ. He shall die a violent death

YarAdua popularly called Mr Go Slow for failing to always do the needful until he is practically pushed. YarAdua's best friend then were James Ibori and Bukola Saraki; both former corrupt governors then.He had the opportunity to remove oil subsidy but further encouraged it by reducing fuel prices so as to pay more subsidy to cronies and friends-a move applauded by many ignorant Nigerians. He had promised to immediately declare emergency in the power sector but was forced to do so after over a year in office. Even then,nothing changed. One of his first act was to stop the ongoing construction of power plants across the country under pretext of corruption, thereby slowing down power generation. He also stopped the modern railway construction.

God bless his soul but he was going to be the worst president before his illness. Buhari has however outdone him.

He suspended the Lagos - Ibadan railway project initiated by Obasanjo, by now that project that is just under construction would have been completed and put into use. Death really covered many of his wrong decision.

The nation‘s foreign reserves decelerated from $64
billion in August 2008 to $47 billion as at March 2009, a 27% decrease, as the government had to resort to the ECA which is also part of the national reserves.

- Yaradua stalled all the NIPP projects nation wide claiming he was going to investigate the monies already invested. He started the malicious toga people attribute to Obasanjo about wasting 16bn dollars on power with no results. Truth is the actual statement he made was "16 billion dollars invested in power with no results...". The fabrication of his statement to read wasting was coined by the media. That was a lie because power projects were ongoing simultaneously all over the country when OBJ handed over. It took Jonathan to revive the power projects and draw up a power road map. Even the current power minister Fashola has pledged to continue with the road map.
- He brought in Sanusi clearly on clannish/ethno-religious sentiments to mess up the banking sector
- He stalled the rail master plan OBJ had put in place before leaving power. It took Jonathan to resuscitate it giving rise to Abuja-Kaduna rail, Abuja light rail among others

Stop Buhari Impeachment Process Now Or Else You Will Face War- Muslim Groups Warns NASS

The Muslim Rights Concern Group, MURIC has warned the National Assembly to put a halt to any plans to Impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over the Withdrawal of $462 million for the Purchase of Super Tuscano helicopters.

In a statement made available to PoliticsNGR, the group said the National assembly should stand with the people of Nigeria and stop every move to remove president Buhari. Read the full statement below;

“The National Assembly (NASS) is currently plotting to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari. This followed a motion moved on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday 24th April, 2018 by Senator Matthew Urhoghide. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) is stupefied by the attitude of members of the NASS. It is bellicose and extremely hostile. The body language of Nigeria’s current legislators manifests an acute desertification of parliamentary acumen.

It would have been a different story if Buhari had approved such an amount to buy more jets for the presidential fleet or for members of his family. But this is to increase the combat readiness of our own military for crying out loud! Our legislators are standing logic on its head.

Boko Haram insurgents occupied seventeen local governments in Borno State and threatened two other states in the North East: Adamawa and Yobe because the Jonathan administration adopted a lackadaisical attitude to insecurity in the region.
