The Lagos State Police Command has threatened that it ready to go after people who hide or disguise under traditional rite to humiliate women folks, the pronounced which the command made after news of women movement restriction for traditional day in Ikorodu, got to notice of the police.

As gathered through a statement released by command on Monday, the police said that it would not allow any member of the public to threaten peace within the state and ensure that no discriminatory traditional rites against female gender were carried.

The state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, in the statement said that the command would not tolerate any discriminatory tradition against the female gender, just as he warned that his office would deal ruthlessly with anybody who hides under the guise of custom or tradition to forment trouble in the state.
