P.M.EXPRESS reports that CP Edgal said that Mrs. Udeme had perfected plans to travel abroad after the act but things did not worked out as she had planned. He explained that findings in the case by the police so far revealed that the couple had marital issues bothering on extra-marital affairs which resulted in the murder of her husband, later Barr. Otike Odibi.

Edgal said the action was premeditated because on the day of incident, the suspect sent a WhatsApp message to her sister-in-law complaining about her husband and asked her to pray for them and equally asked God to forgive her.
The police boss said so far, the suspect, Mrs. Udeme Odibi in her statement had confessed and also called her mother on phone that she had killed her husband.
He hinted that the suspect had hit the deceased with a frying pan on the head before stabbing him with the knife she bought for the operation. The police boss added that the knife had been recovered as exhibit and in the custody of the police.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Barrister Mrs. Udeme was in the news two weeks ago after she allegedly stabbed her husband and murdered him in their home at Diamond Estate in Ogombo, Lagos. It was reported that after she was said to have successfully killed him, she attempted to kill herself but could not succeed before she was rescued.
She was rescued and rushed to an undisclosed hospital where the doctors revived her, while her late husband’s corpse was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.
