Hi guys, I am thinking that there could be some hidden problems that the seller of this ride is refusing to share with me. Inspected , though did not drive round but the engine seems sound. Body , relatively ok, though I know I will do some finishing tourches.

Any advice is welcome so I do not make a mistake

Best is to go inspect it with a mechanic and check the papers well to ensure you are not buying a stolen car. Goodluck bro..

Off in go-slow doesnt sound like a serious issue, my thinking cos i think that could be easily fixed

4matic is very troublesome. Buy kompressor. People no longer buy C class 4matic and those who currently own it are trying to dispose of it.

My tips on it
Go along with a trusted certified mechanic
Ensure he checks that the engine is in good condition
Check the radiator and coolant reservoir for leaks to ensure you don't have a blown head gasket hidden issue.
Ensure the thermostat is fixed and works (fan should not run on permanently)
Volunnteer to buy fuel in it and drive round ensuring all gear changes appropriately for like 30mins
After all this keep car running while you negotiate
Scan car for other issues
Ensure documents are intact and genuine
If all this suffix I think you are good to go! Don't forget to watch out for overheating issues also ensure engine hasn't been worked on

Why will u buy a car for 2m+ and still go ahead to fix the body. The engine is going to be the one with brain box on the top, do u ever ask how much they sell the skeleton? Though formatic is better, unlike the others that u keep visiting mechanics for the arms.

With my knowledge; I'd say you visit mech more owning an AWD. naturally, AWD are much more expensive to maintain cos you have extra drive train. The RWD as always been cheaper to maintain and more fun to drive.

I still don't understand why there are fewer RWD around in C 300 class, especially from 2010-2013. The E class of this same year has a lot more RWD.
