It is the kind of stuff Stan Lee wants you to believe in the Marvel Universe with mutants having super powers. While there is a list of people in history with amazing abilities that would easily make the X-men. It is always interesting to discover new people with interesting abilities that normal people don't.

So, here is the story of Abu Thahir, a 9-year-old Indian boy from Alapuzzha, Kerala in India who reportedly can light up rechargeable LED bulbs just by touching them. His father, Nizar bought a bulb one day and handed it over to his son to keep in a safe place to prevent damage. However, as the boy touched it, the bulb lit-up. His father, thinking he was playing a prank told him to stop it but he could not.

His father then tried placing the bulb on other parts of Abu Thahir's body and the bulb lit up every time.

Scientists have not verified this claim but some suggest that Abu Thahir's ability could be as a result of high salt content in his sweat serving as a conductor for electricity.

Speaking on this, an expert, Joshy K Kuriakose told The Week:

"People who sweat more usually have a high salt content in their body. If the level is unusually high, their bodies could conduct electricity.

"The salt content increases the skin’s conductivity. This could explain why an LED bulb lights up when pressed against Thahir's body."

This is the kind of child many Nigerian parents would want. At least, you don't need a generator to light-up your home when "NEPA" takes light. Jokes apart, this is really amazing and we should all do more to find out how this is possible and probably how we can improve the lives of millions with the knowledge.

True. We persuade him to part with some genetic material, sequence some stuff in the lab, mass produce; maybe even extend it to other organic materials or animals and distribute to all local government areas.

There's no light here sef. angry

Who has the boy's father's number?
