1. Outdoor Abandoned Cinema, Egypt
Somewhere in Egypt at the foot of a desert mountain range, sits a cinema completely out of place. Visitors would be surprised to see hundreds of seats for an outdoor movie theatre. It is believed that the theatre was built by a man from France. However, the locals didn’t like the idea and destroyed the generator. Not a single movie was ever screened there.

Now, it lies in the middle of a desert abandoned and forgotten.

2. Sahara El Beyda, Egypt
Egypt appears on this list again because of a rare phenomenon. Sahara el Beyda or the white desert used to be sea-bed millions of years ago.

Slowly the water level dropped and all manner of life left with the decline. What was left are giant pieces of chalk rock with a unique admirable shape.

3. Eye Of Africa
Also known as the Richat Structure, it is a blue circle in the sands of the Sahara Desert and has become a landmark for astronauts. To this day, scientists are puzzled by what created this strange landmark.

However, there are several theories about how the Eye of Africa came to be.

4. Underwater Waterfall, Mauritius
Mauritius, an island off the southeast coast of Africa gives off the illusion of an underwater waterfall at the southwestern tip. The deceiving impression is created due to the runoff sand and silt deposits and is clearly seen in aerial shots.
