DR CHRIS EKWUEME DECLARES FOR ORU WEST LGA CHAIRMANSHIP RACE

In the wake of series of calls by youths, women and men of Oru West LGA for their illustrious son, Dr Chris Chukwuemeka Ekwueme (Okaaomee N'Oru) to make the Local Government a first beneficiary of his unreserved youthful potentialities and leadership qualities, Okaaomee N'Oru has finally decided to take the bull by the horn. In a campaign he choose to tag "Ka Anyi Mezie Oru 2018", Dr Ekwueme has vow to slog it out come July 14th in order to deliver this mandate to the people of Oru West.

Born into the family of Ekwueme in Mgbidi, Oru West Local Government, Chris Chukwuemeka attended New Layout Primary School, mgbidi and Mgbidi Secondary school for his elementary and secondary academic pursuits.

After his successful secondary academic education, where he made excellent results in both the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE) and the then Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) University Matriculation Examination (UME), he was admitted into the Pan African Homoeopathic Medical College, where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Homeopathic (B.hms) Medicine & Surgery. He later proceeded to the Abia State College of Education and the Enugu State University of Technology ESUT, where he obtained a National Certificate on Education (NCE) and a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education (B.Hed), respectively.

Between 1995 to 2012, Chris Chukwuemeka distinguished himself in medical profession, using his youthful potentialities and high level of intelligence to contribute toward the improvement of the organized private health sector.

He worked as a medical consultant with the Prof. Folayele Awosike Coastal Pharm/Clinic, 29 Asiri Abo Street, Isolo Lagos, Medical Director; Chromeo Medical Center at No 6 Olufemi Samson Street, Ilasamaja Lagos and as a Consultant Medical Director, Safeway medical clinic of No 12 College road Mgbidi.

As the primary assignment of every medical doctor is to save life; Dr Chris Ekwueme life saving philosophy became of an announcement effect, when he was held to the high esteem of not only to save lives, but to save lives and properties, also.

In 2015, he was appointed the Special Assistant on Security to the Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, a position he held till the end of the 7th Assembly.

Due to his outstanding performances in security assistance, he was elevated and thus, was appointed the Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor for Orlu Zone,a multitasking assignment, which incorporates heading of all the State owned security apparatus in the zone.

Since assumption of office as the Special Assistant to the governor, Dr Ekweme Chris has not only assisted the governor but; Has always assisted in person, these state security bodies under his leadership in carrying out their routine operations. In renumeration, Dr Ekwueme Chris has so far, assisted the governor in ensuring the timely payment of salaries of these security outfits, removing all the blockades and bottlenecks. A fate, which made them now receive their salaries and allowances timely, like their counterparts in the federal payroll.

Upon his high level of engagement with official activities, Dr Ekwueme Chris has an undisputed wide reservation for the youths. A youth friendly fellow, who has assisted a good number of youths in the rescue mission government.

Dr Ekwueme Chris has been awarded severally for his outstanding role in almost every strata he has once distinguished himself. Most of these awards include the 2017 Imo State Social Media Awards and the 10th March Award of Excellence on Security by youths of the Grace of God Mission International.

Dr Chris Ekwueme has served and performed excellently well in all his endeavours. He is one son who has done Oru people so proud in all strata of his engagements and is indisputably the best candidate for the Oru West Executive Chairmanship position.
