IGP To Nigerians: Search Policemen Before Letting Them Search You by Lilpea(m): 9:42am On May 18, 2018
Mr Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector-General of Police, on Thursday, charged Nigerians to first search any officer who wants to search their vehicle or house.

IGP Idris said this today during his Twitter chat with Nigerians where the citizens used the hash tag #AskThePolice to ask him questions about the Nigeria Police Force (NPF)


A Twitter user, Christian Kanu, with the username @Chirstka7 had asked “what is the flow process when a police officer stops a citizen? Can it include the officer introducing him/herself as 1st action point? Introduction means name, rank and station attached to. Is this possible IGP Sir?”

The police chief respond, “Yes, especially if he is on mufti – he is expected to introduce him/ herself. And his mission. For avoidance of any doubt.”
