So, there are these basic understandings and assurances that should be built in the mind of every believer and these are firstly, the believer should understand that while fighting any battle he is not at the weak end or standing. As a believer, he has a placement rooted on the strength of the victory of Jesus Christ; therefore he fights from strength and as a result should not ask for strength. He's already operating from strength. On this note, the believer is not the weak but the strong.
Having this kind of mindset while in any battle against any situation will grant the believer the temerity to stand strong and claim his position in God. Secondly, the believer should understand the nature and the strength of the kingdom where he is a citizen. Now, let’s take for instance, if one understands the greatness of one’s family in a society, he shouldn’t lose sight of the integrity the family standard accrues to him while he moves around town. The same goes to a believer; he should move around not minding what the situation around says because his family is the strongest family in all ramification.
Therefore, there is no cause for alarm when situations come up. Notice that each and every family or kingdom per se has its own rules and conducts guiding it and sometimes if not all the times, these rules and conducts vary from one kingdom or family to another. This suggests that the believer is in a kingdom that has its own rules and conducts that differs from what is obtainable in another kingdom. As a result, rules and conducts from another kingdom cannot have any effect on him and shouldn’t be a thing to perturb him.
Another thing a believer should have at the back of his mind, which is the third thing, is that, he should grasp the fact that by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ he has been brought into the Kingdom of God. And as result of that he has become a member of God’s family. Therefore, it shouldn’t be wrong for him to call God his father. And actually God has become a father to him, it means that he emanated from God, in other words, God is his source. This statement implies that the believer carries the DNA of God, that all of God’s nature and character can be identified in the believer. Let’s see the way Apostle Peter puts it: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:4).
