Go to Sao Paulo in Brazil and see how much tangible development has been witnessed over the last two decades... (also aided by World Bank Loans)

Meanwhile in Nigeria, our brothers from Osun, Ondo and Ogun State masquerading as indigenes of Lagos and trolling anyone on here who asks for accountability in Lagos to go back to their villages (deluded hypocritical thinking) will defend the sparse mess that passes as development (Ikoyi Link Bridge etc..when 95% don't use it) with their digital lives...

Sad stuff.

The problem in Lagos is not the debt. The problem with Lagos is the cost of executing any project.

The theft is too much.

Everything totals to roughly 660 billion naira. For a state that generated 330 billion almost three times the entire IGR of the SE and SS combined in 2017, Lagos debt profile is extremely low compared to some states that aren't even generating up to 10 billion annually. Remember Lagos now generates 50 billion monthly and currently eyeing 100 monthly before 2019 and that's going to make the state generate a whopping 600 billion yearly. Don't forget, Lagos is not dependent on the federal allocation like the SE hopelessly depend on. And with the intent and plans to keep developing the state at 50 times the pace of the entire Nigerian combined, Lagos is going to pay off this debt in a few years and can even pay it off within a single year or two if it wants. So enough with all these wailings. As even the enemies of the state and SW can see, the debt and loans are transforming the state. And don't forget the largest refinery in the world is getting commissioned in Lagos in 2019, New port, a new airport and also the MM2 is about to be handed to the state and Odua group. Same goes with Eko Atlantic and six other artificial islands to birth Lagos alone. And I was dazed when I saw the insane master plan for Badary and Isheri Govt Allocated land. And also Remember, Oyinbo don't use the word "debt" it is the financially daft Africans who don't know money borrowed is actually leverage. Eko oni baje lailai. Same goes with my life too. Lol

Ouch! They are still busy crying 'marginalization' and begging the FG to come and build them critical infrastructure, while fleeing in droves to 'indebted' Lagos for economic sustenance.

Sorry, I'm assuming the thread is on Lagos's debt?

Lagos CANNOT be compared to any South Eastern state based on IGR.
