please friends, I am interested in residence visa to New Zealand, I am a medical laboratory scientist and I don't know if I can be given a residence visa with out getting a job over there first.

I dont think so. You can start by trying out on LinkedIn and seek for jobs there , or better still if u have another skill, you can use it to migrate or when you get there , you use your main CV and submit to hospitals.
