HTC U12+ is the latest flagship of the Taiwanese smartphone company, HTC. Packed with cutting-edge technologies that takes full advantage of the smartphone's every corner, HTC U12+ is designed to deliver superior performance with easy customizable navigation.

According to latest reports, the HTC U12+ is said to have beaten Samsung Galaxy S9+, iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 in a test done by DxOMark. HTC U12+ possesses a pair of rear cameras that seems to outperform Samsung Galaxy S9+ and iPhone X in the results.

What is DxOMark?
DxOMark is a trusted industry standard for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings. DxOMark tests camera sensors, lenses and smartphone cameras. DxOMark tests use an in-house designed state-of-the-art test lab solution to carry out their tests.

The DxOMark score is based on thousands of test photos and video clips. This industry is the world's largest image quality database, with results from over 10,000 tested devices including the HTC U12+, Galaxy S9+ and iPhone X.

From the latest rankings done by DxOMark, HTC U12+ scored 103 points, followed by Huawei P20 Pro with 109 points. The Galaxy S9+ scored 99 points, Pixel - 98 points and iPhone X scored 97 points.

HTC U12+ Specifications and price
HTC U12+ sports a 6-inch screen Quad HD LCD panel, 2880 x 1440 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 standard support and no notch. HTC U12+ features a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone and ultra-thin screen borders to ensure that no space is wasted. HTC U12+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, it has 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and it measures 156.6 x 73.9 x 8.7-9.7mm.

The device has two rear cameras (12MP main + 16MP telephoto dual cameras) and two 8MP front cameras which deliver artistic photos and videos with the help of Qualcomm Spectra 280 ISP and Ultra HD premium capture for brighter color. The advanced camera features allows users to capture brilliant photos even when the subject is on motion. The cameras have HDR Boost 2 technology to adapt to almost any lighting condition.

When it comes to video recording, U12+ offers Sonic Zoom, which gives the user control over the video's audio by zooming in a particular sound or voice.

Connectivity options include, 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, GPS, NFC. It is powered by 3500mAH battery which supports quick charge 3.0 or 4.0. The U12+ sports an IP68 water resistant and it weighs 188g.

The HTC U12+ will sell for 699 Pounds with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone is also pre-sold in the U.S.A with a reported price of $799 for 64GB version and $849 for the 128GB version.
