Am not a web designer nor a programmer but have noticed that the speed at which nairaland pages open is faster than other websites. I use this and Google atimes to test how good my browsing network is because I know they always load faster.please is there any explanation for this?

Fewer images and graphics

Most of it's features are text-based, resulting in small size and easy downloading [browsing] to your device. Some media heavy sites are 4MB per page in size meanwhile nairaland on average has pages a meagre 20KB give or take.
