After a 90 minutes run, the final whistle has been blown and Real Madrid has made it 3-1 to win for the 3rd time, the prestigious UEFA cup final. It was quite a dramatic encounter that left the score line at 0-0 at the end of 45 minutes of regulation time. This also marks the 13th overall time that Madrid has won the finals.

The tide was changed however at the commencement of the 2nd half of play as both teams appeared to have found their rhythm and pace. The opening goal was far from befitting of the biggest game in club football.
