Children's Day: Prepare Your Wards For a Better Future - Kogi Speaker Charges Parents

Every 27th of May has been declared globally to celebrate the importance of children across the world and the 2018 celebration got a scintillating message from the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew O. Kolawole.

The Speaker in a statement signed and made available to journalists by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Femi Olugbemi in the early hours of Sunday in Lokoja, he advised parents to take the education of their wards seriously as that is the only way to prepare them for a greater future to contribute to the well-being of the society at large.

The Speaker also congratulated children all over the World, Africa, Nigeria and Kogi State in particular for witnessing yet another year full of potentials that will enable them to excell in life.

He charged them to become children that will grow into personalities that will make the world a better place for all.

He assured Kogi State Children that the legislators of Kogi 6th Assembly will engage in activities geared towards making today better and securing a better future for them.

The statement conclusively expressed the Speaker's disapproval and displeasure over every form of Child Abuse, e.g. child trafficking, children hawking, physical assault, punishment etc.

He urged children stay away from every form of social vices that is capable of destroying their life, stressing that they should be more committed to live a life that will contribute meaningfully to society at large.

Once again wished them Happy Children's Day.
