Anselm Enyimba was born on October 25, 1963 into the family of Chief and Mrs Enyimba Okeke of Umuohi OKIJA in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.

He had his primary education in Ezieke Primary School, Umuohi OKIJA, from 1971 to 1977. He attended OKIJA Grammar School from 1977 to 1982 and read Accounting at Abia State University, Uturu-Okigwe, graduating in 1997 with B.Sc Honours. He bagged a Master's degree in Economic in 2011 and a Ph D in Economics.

Enyimba joined the First Bank of Nigeria PLC at their Warri Branch in 1984 and served in various capacities over the years. In 2008, the bank appointed him to the position of Branch Manager in Ughelli axis and later promoted him to the post of Deputy Manager in 2010 and Senior Manager until his retirement in September 2012.

Anselm Enyimba has extensive experience in bank examination, operations, restructuring and failure resolution, having led various assignments in several financial institutions. He has acquired international exposure through a work study and as a holder of revered practice license of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

He is the Managing Director of several companies among which is Profit Mine Nigeria Ltd; a company which has through sheer hard work and tireless dedication to the pursuit of the fundamentals of business values gradually joined the ranks of Nigeria's economic mainstream. The company has its primary focus on the area of marine logistics and oil and gas dispensing in six states of the federation.

Enyimba became an associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) in October 2003, a fellow of Chartered Institute of Banker of Nigeria (FCIB) in September 2014, a fellow of Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria (FCE) in October 2010, a fellow of London Institute of African Chartered Economics, a fellow of England Institute of World Chartered Economics. He has a professional fellowship doctorate (p.FD) award from the institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria and an honorary doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) of POMA International Business University, Benin Republic.

Chief Dr Anselm Enyimba is a social democrat with conservative values founded on his strong christian faith and ethos. He is an ardent catholic by birth and inclination, a knight of Saint Mulumba Nigeria (KSM), a member of Rotary International and a Paul Harris Fellow.
