That is the normal 1.8L engine jare, not an enthusiast car after all. Buy the car, honda civic doesnt experience the ball joint issue, i have not even seen one that has had that issue.

you shouldn't be in a haste to buy a car especially when you are working on a low budget car. You will still fine a good Toyota product or Nissan product of late 90's model you can afford. Take your time and search my Oga. I don't know much about the Honda civic you mentioned, but I think more gurus here will give you expert opinion on it.
