Nigeria politicians most times seem to be notorious in playing politics of bitterness and rancor. This manifests in many ways; however, in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is a different brand of Nigerian politician.

The Governor's impetus and wisdom in managing political affiliations, especially with political parties other than the PDP is second to none. This style of politics has helped the State a great deal. For instance, the Governor's synergy with the ruling APC government at the federal level has attracted developmental projects to Abia State, in addition with empowerment programmes for Abia youths.

It is common knowledge that this friendly attitude of the 'Chief Servant' of Abia State has made the Vice President of the federal republic if Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to visit the State severally, even both as acting President and Vice President respectively.

The Ministers for Power, Works & Housing Alhaji Bsbatunde Fashola (SAN) and that of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole have also visited severally on different occasions along side other ministers of the federal republic.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has leveraged on the solid relationship he has built with the Federal Government to take Mr. Okay Nzenwa to the Vice President, Prof Osinbajo, where Mr. Nzenwa, the promoter of Golden Guinea stated his case and explained how macro-economic policy of the Federal Government affected his investment and have hampered his ability to raise new funds to restart the company.

This move made the Vice President to graciously approve the request of Mr. Nzenwa for Federal Government lending institutions to grant him facilities. It is worthy to report that today, Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) has granted Mr. Nzenwa a facility of $10M (N3. 6B) while the Bank of Industry has also pitched in with an Economic Revival Facility.

Certainly, these new funds have granted a new lease of life to the company and installation works have resumed in earnest. It is expected that in the next couple of months, barring new untoward developments, Golden Guinea Breweries Plc, Umuahia will be reopened to the public. This could only be possible when good relationship is instituted by a leader like Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who understands the importance of synergy and politics without bitterness and rancor in governance.

Apart from that, Ikpeazu led administration has partnered with the federal government in so many other things like social investment programmes being championed by Mr. Chinenye Nwaogu, through the office of the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, electrification project in Ariaria International Market, erosion control/management projects among others.

Of course, if the Governor has chosen to play the style of politics in "bitterness, rancor and hatred" which is rampant among Abia opposition politicians, none of these good developmental projects cum programmes from the Federal level would have benefited Abians.
Hence, the need for Abia opposition to learn from Governor Ikpeazu, who does not play politics of hatred or 'do or die' but believes in carrying everybody along as well as well think beyond political parties to attract good developments to the State.

It is therefore imperative that all and sundry would support in the call for Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to be reelected to complete his unprecedented developmental strides in Abia State. It can only get better if the best man is there at the helms of affairs. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D has been tested, and he has proven by what he has achieved within three years in office that he is the best man for the job. He has made Abia people and residents proud with his unprecedented exploits in all sectors of the economy.

Congratulations to an administrator without bitterness and rancor.

God bless Abia State!
