The victim is a learner! That's why no matter your profession or age, one must be technologically inclined. Be sensitive to trends and online news. That text message was a general format those scammers used. Telling you that your BVN has been blocked etc. A lot of people got that message, I got it twice. Even the bank will not ask you for your ATM pin. 2 Likes |

One funny thing is the 63 year old man may not know about it.giving your account details out this days is somehow. A case that happened to someone around me recently... A guy collected her account number. Transfered from another persons account to her own. Then after a while she wanted to withdraw over the ATM. She entered into the bank and was arrested. She had to pay the money back before she was released. 2 Likes |

phase1:Greediness is what makes some people to be easy preys. In the case of the Nigerian prince scam... But I guess this will be attributed to ignorance and lack of enough public awareness by both the banks and NCC |
