Growing up, I was privileged to be up close and personal with[size=14pt] late CHIEF OBAFEMI AWOLOWO’S[/size] helicopter during his campaign stop in my town in 1979.


It was a brick red/Orange Bell Helicopter. As a kid, my imagination can’t stop running since then. How will it be to fly one of these? Pretty cool I can imagine. Owning one will be OUTSTANDING!

Thanks to the generosity of the folks at [size=14pt]Robinson Helicopter Company, Torrance, California,[/size] I was able to attend the factory tour today May 27, 2010 to see how the Helicopter is actually made.

The production and assembly floor are not allowed to be photographed (for obvious reasons) but we were generously conducted round the facility and we get to see first hand on how these beautiful machines were made.

Electrical Dept., Paint, Fabrication, Assembly were covered generously. The Helicopter does not have many parts, however, the attention to detail and strict quality guidelines is mind boggling. It was a marvelous experience.

Thanks for the pricing too. It will be a smart move worth considering to have a fleet for transportation business. I only wonder if one can get good hands to handle the servicing here in Nigeria.
