Rev’d. Fr. Emmanuel Atsue, rector of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Jalingo Taraba state which was attacked by herdsmen in the early hours of Monday, has given an account of what transpired when sophisticated arms-bearing Fulani invaded the premises of the institution.

He revealed, in a statement issued on Monday afternoon, that the grievance of the Fulani attackers was that security men in the Seminary have been challenging their decision to graze the cattle right inside the institution where future priests are trained, including around the classes, football field and laundry areas.

It was earlier reported that two Catholic priests were on Monday morning beaten with one shot in the leg when gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a minor seminary in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.
